Topic: This post office made my last three days hell.

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 month ago #1,848

> Be me
> Pay cash for a condo
> Mailbox key not given
> Property manager says the post office deals with it.
> Go to post office, ask how to get key
> They say documents showing you bought it and ID
> Get settlement agreement from title company emailed to me (original on its way to Recorder)
> I know better, but next day skip trip to library to print settlement agreement emailed to me and just show it to them on my phone.
> Dumbass postal employees get weird about the documents being on my phone
> Print it out, bring it in, also have printed copy of deed.
> THE ACTUAL DEED IS SITTING THE MAILBOX THEY WON'T GIVE KEY TO!
> Get sass, attitude, relishing of not being able to do something their organization caused.
> "No, we need original.", "We need an original document, what did you sign when you bought it?"
> MOTHERFUCKER, WHY WOULD I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PAPERWORK I SIGNED AT CLOSING. THAT SHIT GOES TO THE COUNTY!
> A stupid statement since anyone could have whited out the documents I showed and signed different names with different colored pens.
> This showing up and explaining reality consumes most of my days for three days in a row.
> When I'm not at the Post Office I'm on the phone or email with the real estate agents and title companies trying to get something for the Post Office.
> Miraculously get the post office branch manager on the phone. Email her the thread of my title company and realtor sending documents to me. Go in, show her my online bank statement of six figures leaving my account in a wire transfer to pay for the fucking condo last week.

Holy shit. What can be done about the Post Office.

OMFG are you retarded? If you have no key you can pay the post $20-$40 to change your lock an give you the key, but you have to provide proof of ownership. Easier way: stay home one day and be there when the mailman arrives. He opens all the boxes and this will let you change out the lock yourself. They sell them at Home Depot and Lowe's for $8. They sell two sizes if you don't measure your lock first. Holy hell, grow up.
